Starting on Monday, June 8, Metro Vancouver, including Port Moody, is implementing Stage 3 water restrictions.
What does Stage 3 mean for you?
According to a statement issued Thursday by the City of Port Moody, the ban on lawn watering introduced in Stage 2 will continue. Trees, shrubs, and flower gardens must be watered by hand or drip irrigation, as sprinklers, sprinkler systems, and soaker hoses are no longer allowed.

Port Moody’s Inlet Music Society secures ‘in-kind’ theatre use for fifth season
A small delegation from the Inlet Music Society—formerly Port Moody Music—addressed city council recently to request continued use of the Inlet Theatre for its upcoming concert season.
The organization pitched an extension of its current arrangement with the City of Port Moody, which sees the city waive rental fees for the theatre at 100 Newport Dr. Council voted unanimously to approve the request, securing the society’s fifth season beginning this September.
During the regular council meeting on April 26, both Mayor Meghan Lahti and Coun. Kyla Knowles voiced strong support for the motion.
