Greetings from Minister Shane Simpson to the participants in the Klahanie Construction Program, managed by the Powell River Educational Services Society in partnership with Tla'amin First Nation, Work BC, the Lund Hotel, Complete Construction, and others under the leadership of Executive Director Dr. Jay Yule and Project Manager Mathew Wilson.

Graduation at the Lund Hotel included greetings from the Minister, comments from Hegus Clint Williams, contract and partnership agent Lori McCleave, and Project Manager Mathew Wilson, with two elected Councillors from the City of Powell River. A great celebration of the accomplishments of the participants, some of them working on construction nearby.

The second group of participants in the construction training have been hard at work in the past few weeks.
Here are a few snapshots.
On Tuesday February 19th there will be an information session at the Tla'amin Governace House from 1:30 - 3pm. Come meet the current team of guys in the program and find out how you can join.
