On June 9, 2025 at 7:30 p.m., PAFD responded to the Little Red Park for a bush fire. On arrival there were several separate fires burning, from as small as 10’x20’ and the largest approximately 200’ X 300’. SPSA had two helicopters making multiple water drops on the locations while PAFD members were working on the ground to contain the fire. After two hours the fire was declared under control and crews cooled hotspots.
If anyone has information on these fires please contact the Prince Albert Police Service at 306-953-4222.

The North Saskatchewan River can be a source of great intrigue for children, but river currents have enormous power and can easily trap even strong swimmers, especially when concentrated around rocks, sand bars or bridge pilings. The river in Prince Albert is NOT a safe place to swim. Enjoy the river by kayak or canoe, but do that with a friend and not alone. Remember, always wear a PFD when near water.
