"Some people are concerned about the city having made it mandatory for people to be vaccinated in order to continue to work there during the pandemic. Let me assure you that in this world we live in there are rules that government make and we other than changing the government have to adhere to those rules. If WorkSafe BC says that people have to be vaccinated or masked or both and maintains feet apart in order for the safety of all of the employees to be maintained, that's the rule. If you choose not to follow the rules, that's a problem for you. You can withdraw your services as an employee under those circumstances but that's not something you can have a grievance about. The rules are there to protect everybody and they're not there as some sort of rule against you. It's designed for the preservation of the health of people around you and you owe it to everybody around you to take the steps required to preserve their health."

"In my platform, I talk about three stages or steps to deal with the homeless issue. Necessarily I have to define the homeless issue by reference to the fact that most of the people on the streets have either addiction issues or mental health issues. And I summarize my solution by referring to there being an institutional framework. Where these people would be treated. What is an institution? An institution is some sort of camp. An institution is a building or assembly of buildings designed for the treatment of people. Either through drug addiction treatment. Alcohol addiction treatment and or mental health issues. Psychosis etcetera. That seemed to plague these people on the streets. The institution is simply a reference to this building or collection of buildings that would provide these services fully staffed for accommodation treatment and the merger of these people back into society if they are cured or are deemed capable of looking after themselves. That is all I intended with that phrase."
