🌿 Card highlight: Ivysaur — Base Set 030/102 — Uncommon — Lightly Played (LP). A keystone step in the Bulbasaur line, ideal for Kanto Pokedex builds and nostalgia sets from Killin Cards.

🍃 Lore and notes:
- Across early Kanto tales, Ivysaur’s bulb stores sunlight until the bud swells and movement slows—signs it’s nearing the bloom that leads to evolution.
- The “Mysterious Garden” story showed a rare communal evolution gathering led by Ivysaur, a deep-cut nod to Bulbasaur-line tradition.
- Base Set Ivysaur appears in both Shadowless and Unlimited runs, with a 1999-2000 UK print variant—subtle ink and saturation shifts make for fun plate-spotting.
- One of the few middle evolutions to be a playable fighter via Pokémon Trainer in Smash Bros., famous for precise Vine Whip recoveries.
