Christ is Risen! He is risen, indeed!
Luke 24:6a

Today is a day for lament as we think of the heartbreaking tragedy in Tumbler Ridge. We grieve the loss, and sorrow, knowing the trauma that will keep moving through the community for a while. Mourn with those who mourn*, weep with those who weep.

May God give comfort and rest
to those who are brokenhearted.
May He lift those who are crushed by grief
May those walking the valley of the shadow
know the deep love of God
in the midst of their tears.
May God who wept be a balm for grieving hearts
and comfort for those weeping today.**

If you are a praying person, pray for the community, for the injured and their families, for the families who have lost loved ones, for the teachers and students, the RCMP and first responders. Pray for the community of Tumbler Ridge and all those connected to it, for we are all so close by.
