What’s your favourite summer activity?

☀️ Old-school summer fun looked a lot different.

A few scrap boards, some bricks, and absolutely no engineering review was enough to create a homemade bike ramp that felt like a major infrastructure project.

Were they stable? Rarely.
Properly tested? Never.
Built with confidence far beyond our qualifications? Every single time.

Looking back, it’s probably a good thing most of us didn’t have to submit stamped drawings for those backyard designs 😅

At Scouten Engineering, we still believe good projects start with creativity — just with a little more planning, safety, and structural support these days.

🍁 Happy Canada Day from Scouten Engineering 🍁

We may not have any employee birthdays, random office fun, or HR situations to brag about today.

No cake in the lunchroom.
No awkward singing.
No mystery “who bought the card?” email chain.
No nerf darts flying around the office.
And no uncomfortable conversations with HR about the office printer we may or may not have rage-smashed last month.

But when it comes to birthdays and shenanigans, it’s hard to top this one.
Today, we’re celebrating the communities we work in, the landscapes we help shape, and the people who make this country such a great place to build, work, and live.
