What is the VALUE in allowing yourself full expression of your range of self-ness?

What can be GAINED by validating and celebrating yourself as you are?

If you've never done something like this, there may be no way you could know how to answer any of these questions.

For me:
I want to make a mark on this world
I want to acknowledge what I've been through
I want to celebrate the strength I've found
I want to communicate my vulnerability
I want to claim my existence as my own
I want to show my daughter someday that I've always been mom BUT ALSO SO MUCH MORE.

I want to feel important and revered like I feel when I look at my idols in the pages of books, even if it's just a reminder that I am important to myself and those that love me.

The value is in the acknowledgement that I am worth this time and this effort. What I gain is a deeper understanding of myself, a stronger belief in myself, and a reminder of my importance in my small world. And that's pretty huge.

In this photo, in this season, Matayah was looking for connection with herself. We connected with each other, too, and I got to witness and support her stamping this moment... "I was here." She left the studio saying "this is exactly what I needed," and I felt it too.

Jena's a photoshoot veteran - but she's never had portraits done before in a peacock flavored gown. In fact, her usual favourite type of session is an empowering and sexy bo***ir shoot. These types of images though show a different side to Jena's personality and are more comfortable for dad to frame on his wall. A time and a place for everything, as the saying goes.. and the time for your favourite peacock gown is whenever you want it to be.
