Hi cat friends,

I've been enjoying visiting all of my repeat clients this year, but I'd sure like to be more busy! Let's hope you all figure out the best way to navigate this summer.

Just a quick update to say that on June 15th, 2026, I will be increasing the prices across the board by $1 per day. I feel that, given I haven't done a price increase in a while, this shouldn't be much of a burden on you folks. And of course the 10% discount on 15+ day blocks of visits still applies! So if you want to lock in at the current price list, you've got a month to get those bookings in!

I should also mention that I have a lawncare company secured for this year, so if you will be away for a bit and want your home to look like someone's home, getting the lawn done is a great way to do it!

Let's home this May long weekend doesn't let us down for weather. You know, the way it does almost every year. *laughs*

Safety first!

As you know, I patrol your home and tend to your cats while you're away. Some of you do not have cats, so I simply ensure your home is secure.

But I'm also looking for -potential- hazards.

Pictured is an example of optical glass spheres. They are becoming more popular as they become more affordable. They look amazing, right?! Photographers use them for certain optical effects. But they can also be a decorative addition to any room of your home.

With affordability comes seeing them in more homes.

While they are beautiful, they come complete with a very dangerous science experiment, built right in.

So what is this “science experiment?” Direct sunlight! If your glass sphere is being exposed to direct sunlight, it becomes a very efficient magnifying glass. Whatever is on the other side of that glass sphere is going to be exposed to high temperatures and, if flammable, could burst into flames. At the very least, do permanent damage to a surface.

If you own one or more of these beauties, please make sure you keep them away from windows, or direct sunlight. Perhaps a shelf or table where sunlight doesn’t beam directly into the home.

It is my goal to help you have a safer home, even if I’m not there!
