Our first day of the NationalHighSchoolRodeoAssn Queen competition! 👑

The morning started off with our showcase of CINCH outfits during the written test, orientation and stage practice! This opportunity to show our creativity and personal design through our outfits while representing our fantastic sponsors was so much fun!

We also had a meet and greet with all of our wonderful judges and I was incredibly grateful to have the chance to get to know them! They are so accomplished and I am lucky to have this experience.

The second half of the day included every Queen demonstrating the horsemanship pattern. Horsemanship is a crucial part of the judging process and it was very neat to watch each girl perform! My horse worked very well and I couldn’t be more proud of her for showing up for me even in the heat, rainstorm and being in a new place.

miss HI hs rodeo queen and I also got the chance to meet one of the Georgia High School Rodeo athletes that is running for a position as a student Vice President for the NHSRA. We helped Cruz set up his signs and promote for his position! His family gave me one of their famous Georgia peaches! 🍑

And that’s a wrap on my first day of competition at the NHSFR in Lincoln, Nebraska

An eventful day at the 108th Benalto Stampede!

This day was absolutely fantastic for the visiting royalty! I was truly grateful for the opportunity to spend time with some lovely ladies around the town and at the grounds.

The day began with a phenomenal pancake breakfast with live music and lots of sunshine. The kids were so sweet and it was very fun greeting them in our group of queens.

After that we headed out into town! Our first stop was The Sylvan Lake Lodge seniors home where we visited, signed autographs and answered questions for all of the elderly people there. They made us feel so welcome and we were glad to be a part of their day! Next, we stopped in at The Big Moo Ice Cream Parlour and enjoyed our treat on the beaches of Sylvan Lake. We concluded our outing at Heritage Lanes Bowling Alley in Red Deer. It is safe to say that I should stick to rodeo and not bowling! My score of 43 didn’t look amazing next to Rimbey Rodeo Royalty princess with her 117 points 😂.

Back at the Benalto Stampede grounds, myself and some of the other queens met our new friend on his Golden Circle of Champions rodeo tour! We got to go with him and see the beautiful bucking horses and bulls. He also got the chance to meet 𝕄𝕚𝕤𝕤 𝔹𝕖𝕟𝕒𝕝𝕥𝕠 𝕊𝕥𝕒𝕞𝕡𝕖𝕕𝕖 queen horse and we all got to have a laugh with the rodeo clown! It was such an honour to spend time with our champion and his amazing family. 🎗️

To kick off the rodeo we carried flags in the grand entry and honoured the 4th of July 🇺🇸. This was so much fun and I loved seeing the crowd cheering!

My favourite part of the day was my wild pony racing debut! Some of the kids definitely beat me but our queen team had so much fun!

The day ended with a crazy rainstorm and some hail! But as we all know… that’s Alberta! One of the things I love most about rodeo is the resilience and toughness of the athletes- rain, snow or shine.
