Celebrating our Keka and Gage’s beautiful daughter Charlotte today at her baptism. It was a wonderful day, filled with amazing Venezuelan food (yaaay Nathaly!!!), the most lovely family and friends and this vanilla cake filled with dulce de leche and Swiss meringue buttercream.

We really need to take a moment to thank our families for the love, support, understanding, and encouragement they’ve extended to us over these years. To our husbands, who worked so hard to build out our café, and the many years of maintenance that followed - we so appreciate all of the sacrifices that were made. To our children, who endured their moms working long, long days and every holiday season, yet still felt pride in our pursuit of following our dreams.

We need to thank our parents for their many many contributions to the success of our business. There were many days of cooking, errand running, deliveries, Costco trips, and especially pie baking (our Mum is THE Pie Queen)!

It has to be said that we are so grateful to have shared in this journey together. There is no one else we would rather to have been on this ride with than each other. How lucky to have been able to spend our days together, the easy ones and the tough ones, and still long to spend more quality time. Some days we are snapping turtles and the next.. a pair of clinging monkeys! 🐒🐒🙊🙊
