The Hearts of Oak Schoolhouse is a one-room schoolhouse in southeast Saskatchewan. It opened in 1907 and closed in 1957. The building was crafted from stones from nearby fields, creating thick walls, and the inside is lined with wood and has a tin ceiling. It was heated with a wood stove.

We have heard rumours that a group is planning to restore this historic building!

Standing proudly on the Saskatchewan prairie, the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Greek Orthodox Church in Saskatchewan. Also known as Belyk's church, the original parish church was built in 1910 and served the community for many years.

The church is a municipal heritage status, preserving a piece of the province’s rich Ukrainian heritage for future generations.

We stopped at a picnic site that was an old homestead. It has a few old buildings on site, barn foundations and an old well water pump. You know I had to try it so let's see if this old water pump on a historic homestead still works!!
