🌞🏖️What are you reading this summer?

We are saddened by the loss of Ven Begamudré, local author of numerous novels, short fiction, poetry, and more.

Ven was the RPL Writer in Residence in 2001 and could often be seen visiting Central Library. During his residency, his writing accompanied two exhibitions at Dunlop Art Gallery – Space Camp and Little Worlds.

In 2018, he won the Regina Public Library Book of the Year Award at the Saskatchewan Book Awards for his memoir Extended Families.

Our condolences to all those who knew Ven. He’ll be fondly remembered.

Central Library's elevator is now working!

Central Library's elevator is temporarily out of order. As a result, access to the basement and second floor washrooms is limited.

You can get to the second floor by using the north escalator or the westside staircases. Reminder, the south escalator (down) is no longer available starting today as it needs replacing. We are looking into solutions.
