Brains come in all shapes and sizes—and the animal kingdom is full of incredible thinkers! Here are 10 of the world's smartest animals:

🧸🐶 Dog Toy Safety: Remember the SOS Rule!

When checking your dog's toys, think SOS:

🧵 S = Strings or Stuffing
If stuffing is coming out or strings are hanging loose, it's time to retire the toy. These materials can be swallowed and may cause serious intestinal problems.

👃 O = Odour
A toy that has developed a strong or unpleasant smell may be harboring bacteria or mold. Time for a replacement!

🦴 S = Sizeable Chunks Missing
If large pieces have been chewed off or are missing, the toy is no longer safe. Missing chunks can become choking hazards or cause intestinal blockages if swallowed.

🐾 A quick toy check can go a long way in preventing emergencies. If your dog's favorite toy passes the SOS test, play on! If not, it's time for a new one.

When in doubt, throw it out!

Meet Auggie! ✨

This handsome Hermann's tortoise stopped by yesterday for his wellness exam and a beak trim, and he was an absolute star patient! 💚

Routine wellness exams are an important part of keeping tortoises healthy. During visits like Auggie's, we check overall health, weight, shell condition, eyes, mouth, and discuss diet and husbandry to help ensure they're thriving. Regular beak trims, when needed, can also help keep eating comfortable and prevent overgrowth.

We always love seeing our reptile friends, and Auggie certainly made our day with his charming personality! 🐢💚
