When I started as a VA, I constantly heard business owners complain about VA's who would stand by and wait for work to be delegated.

It was a HUGE sore spot for people.

🌟🌟🌟 (It still is. Hint hint!)

That wasn’t me. I wasn’t someone who would wait for work to be delegated. I got right in there and started telling clients things I could do.

If I saw them loading an email in ConvertKit, I’d say, "Want me to handle that going forward?" They would gladly say yes and be thankful when our package increased.

Since I knew proactively taking work off their plate was a sore spot for most people, I highlighted that feature when chatting with potential clients.

I’m not unique in that way—lots of VA's actively take work off their client's hands—

BUT NO ONE ELSE ADVERTISED IT AS A FEATURE OF THEIR SERVICE.

So when people said, "I need some support but I don’t know what to delegate," or "I need a VA who will be proactive," all my clients (and anyone I’d ever spoken to) referred them to me.

Moral of the story: you don’t have to be 100% unique to scale your business to $50/hr or beyond. Just be yourself and be clear about how you’re different.
