South Canoe - Outdoor Learning Program

With love, laughter, tears and the utmost respect & appreciation, the South Canoe community wishes Stacy Green a very happy retirement! Through all 8 years the SCA Outdoor Learning Program has been in existence Stacy has supported everyone. Her standing ovation was well deserved!

We travelled up the Ida View trail today as a whole school in honour of the upcoming National Indigenous Peoples Day. Knowledge Keeper, Ashley Marta, lead us through learning about traditional uses of local and other plants. Learning on the land…what a great way to help everyone consider all the ways the land cares for us and how we can care for the land.

Such a fun Spring Fling on Friday! Lots of great music, vendors, food and activities. A beautiful spring evening. Thanks you SCA PAC!

South Canoe - Outdoor Learning School

So much action this week! Little Mountain Stompers ran hard, our school enjoyed the “Water Map”, we had an awesome Luke Wallace concert and Friday is our annual SPRING FLING!

A HUGE thanks to all the parent (and kids) who came out on Saturday to revive and rebuild our garden beds! Amazing work everyone! We can’t wait to get planting and watch the magic of a wonderful school garden. Special thanks to Clea & Craig for all the planning and lumber delivery. Hope I didn’t miss anyone but I know we had: Meghan & Kyle, Machiko & Jan, Josee, Kyle Walters, and Ben Miller. ❤️
