Not every repair needs a new part.

This 2017 MacBook Air came in with a strange power issue: it would run while plugged in, but had trouble switching between charger and battery power.

At first, it looked like it might need a battery replacement. After testing, I opened it up, inspected the battery connection, cleaned up residue from previous work, reseated the connector, and reset the power management.

After that, it passed:
✅ Charging test
✅ Unplugged runtime test
✅ Charger plug/unplug test
✅ Sleep/wake test
✅ Battery health check

The battery reported healthy, so no replacement was needed.

Sometimes the right fix is taking the time to diagnose properly instead of just throwing parts at the problem.

PS5 Deep Clean – Before & After 👀

This console came in packed with dust you wouldn’t even see from the outside.

Once opened up, there was heavy lint buildup around the fan and airflow channels — the kind of thing that can cause overheating and loud fan noise over time.

After a full clean:
✔️ Internal dust removed
✔️ Fan cleaned and restored
✔️ Airflow fully cleared
