Thank you Maureen for a recap of the semester and all our speakers. This semester was jam packed full of great speakers and topics, with lots of really great take home advice! We all hope you enjoyed it as much as we have!

Maureen also spoke about what gifts are we able to pass onto our children. Healthy, happy, and stable parent(s) are incredibly important, but what other legacies do you want to pass to your children?

What you need most in the trenches of motherhood is a relationship with God.
God can meet our needs in the most unexpected ways. Maureen shared her journey about encountering God. When you get to the place where you are ready to begin a relationship with God, all you have to do is ask him - he’ll do the rest, often in unexpected ways. 🤍

Thank you Ange for speaking to all of us today (and thank you for the laughs!)

- Habits for a Healthy Marriage:
Cancel the criticism: criticsm can occur because men and women don’t always understand each other.

“Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.” Ephesians‬ ‭4‬:‭29‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Pile on the positives: With every negative interaction, you need to have 5 positive interactions.
- What are your love languages? What are your spouse’s?
- Acts of Service
- Physical Touch
- Words of Affirmation
- Quality Time
- Gift Giving
“Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.” Ephesians‬ ‭4‬:‭2‬-‭3‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Believe the best: how we respond is usually determined by our thoughts and emotional state - positive or negative. Develop the habit of assuming positive intent.

Value vulnerability:
Benefits of being vulnerable: closer bond, breaks down emotional walks, invites honesty, makes space for open communication, and embraces authenticity. Vulnerability is not weakness - it’s strong and courageous. It’s important to set boundaries and only share when you feel ready and in a safe place.

Relationships aren’t meant to stay the same, they’re meant to change and shape and form. The things that we need and value in life shift over time. All relationships go through different phases. Relationships include spouse, kids, friends, and also God.
- How can you build a relationship with God in your marriage: worship, pray, serve together.
