Barndominiums are a great mix of function and style: wide-open layouts, high efficiency, and a look that doesn’t age fast.

If you’re planning one in Saskatchewan, we know how to build these right.

Another basement flood in Saskatoon.

By the time we got there, the water had already taken out the carpet, baseboards, and the bottom section of the drywall. The framing was wet, and the trim was starting to swell. Nothing you can ignore.

We stripped everything back, dried the space properly, treated what needed treating, and didn’t cover anything up until the moisture numbers made sense. After that, we rebuilt the walls, installed new trim, painted the full space, and put in new flooring.

The goal with flood work is always the same:
slow down at the start, do the drying right, and then rebuild clean. If you rush step one, the whole job falls apart later.

This basement is now back to normal and actually feels better than it did before the flood.

If you’re in Saskatoon and dealing with water or insurance damage, we handle the full process from teardown to finish. We keep it simple. We do the work properly. We finish what we start.

Feature Home Series — The Cedarline Duo
By Local One Construction

Clean lines. Smart layout. Natural materials.
The Cedarline Duo shows how thoughtful infill design can add beauty and lasting value to urban neighborhoods.

Built on a previously underused lot, this pair of semi-detached homes proves you can do more with less. A slim footprint, alley access, and vertical symmetry create presence without overpowering the street.

The facade mixes contrast and warmth: vertical white siding, oversized black-trimmed windows, and a cedar-wrapped entry that makes a subtle statement. Even the house numbers are intentional—modern, oversized, and perfectly placed.

Inside, every inch works hard. A bright, minimalist kitchen anchors the main floor with soft-close cabinetry, matte black hardware, and quartz counters. Natural light floods in through oversized windows, making the space feel open and calm.

Engineered oak floors, matte black fixtures, and clean lines keep the palette timeless.
Simple. Functional. Built to last.

The Cedarline Duo isn’t flashy—it’s thoughtful.
Designed for real life. Built for the long run.
