It’s National Book Lovers Day!! Ok, I’ve definitely been posting more on IG than here, so time for a bit of a catch up! Here are a few of the books I’ve enjoyed so far.
This year I’m trying some different authors and genres and I’ve actually read 3 ebooks this year. I’ve always kinda bucked the idea of reading on a device. And, honestly, I’ll still choose a real book any day, but some books are just hard to find and ebooks can fill that gap! I used the Libby app to read those 3 books for free 😊
Support books, support reading in all forms, support your public library and absolutely do NOT garbage books unless they are beyond repair. So many places will take books and many communities have little free libraries that can always use your donations! If you don’t know where to take them, message me and I’ll help!

When I travel, my eyes are always peeled for little free libraries! This little beauty was found at the beach at The Narrows! I even lucked out and found a book I want to read - The Kill Room by Jeffery Deaver

Did you know there is an app - Libby App - that lets you get FREE audiobooks, Ebooks and magazines from your local library right on your phone!! I visited my local Saskatoon Public Library yesterday and they showed me how to access books that were only available as an Ebook/audiobook.
I’m so excited about this!! I’ve already started reading my first book on this app! Can’t wait to share the experience with you all.
In the meantime, if you have a library card, download this app and start reading/listening to books at home for free

Calling all readers on the prairies - get yourself a nice warm blanket, a big cup of coffee and a book from your to be read list and hunker down. It’s miserable outside. Mother Nature has given you a day to do what you love most!

With my fifth book of the year, I ordered the next Michael Connelly Books in the Harry Bosch series. Those that have followed me for a bit may remember that I’ve started at the beginning of this series and are slowly making my way through. “The Overlook” is the 13th book in this series.
Harry is no longer retired and has returned to the LAPD as part of the Homicide Special Squad. Bosch soon finds out that the murder at the Overlook is no typical murder case and the implications of what may come next could be detrimental to all of LA.
As always, I love these character’s, I love Connelly’s writing style and I love these books. I have a feeling I’m going to have a hard time putting this one down!
