I noticed this window jamb that had higher than normal moisture content and has signs of prolonged moisture damage. This issue is very common around basement windows due to fluctuation in temperatures and airflow. It’s important to make sure basement windows have adequate air flow, especially in the colder months. One of the main restrictions of airflow around windows are closed window treatments which should be left open during times when use is not needed.

Found this water leak at a past inspection, with the aid of therm imaging. Make sure to periodically check under your sinks to make sure there are no active leaks!
