Today we celebrated Aboriginal Day at our centre 🪶❤️
We spent the day learning, creating, and having fun together. The children enjoyed participating in special activities, singing the Tân'si song, and making their own fried bannock. It was wonderful to see their excitement as they learned about Indigenous culture and traditions through hands-on experiences.
We are grateful for opportunities like these that help our children learn about, appreciate, and celebrate the diverse cultures that make our community so special. A special thank you to the Indigenous educators who shared their culture, stories, and traditions with us, creating meaningful learning experiences for both our children and staff as we celebrated Aboriginal Day 🌿✨

What an exciting day in our garden! 🌱☀️

The children rolled up their sleeves and got their hands a little dirty as they planted dill, cucumber, potato, and sunflower seeds. After giving their seeds a good drink of water, we gathered together to talk about what plants need to stay happy and healthy.

The children learned that just like us, plants need water, sunshine, and lots of care to grow. We also talked about how our little gardeners are now responsible for helping take care of our garden by checking on their plants and watering them each day.

There was so much excitement as the children imagined what their tiny seeds might grow into. We can't wait to watch our garden bloom and grow alongside the children's curiosity, care, and sense of responsibility! 🌻💚
