Exciting news from Creative Fire!

We’re thrilled to officially welcome Jordan Baptiste as our Partner & President, marking a new era of growth and opportunity! As an Indigenous leader with a deep commitment to community and sustainable growth, Jordan brings a wealth of experience across sectors. His focus on building strong relationships and driving long-term success aligns perfectly with Creative Fire’s mission.

Under Jordan’s leadership, we’ll expand our reach and form new partnerships—creating more opportunities for our clients in both corporate and Indigenous sectors.

On September 30, we honour the strength and resilience of the Survivors of the Indian Residential Schools and Day Schools, their families and their communities. We carry in our hearts the children who never returned home, and we remember them not only in grief but in hope for healing.

Our thoughts are especially with our owners, English River First Nation, who in 2023 uncovered 93 unmarked graves near the former Beauval Indian Residential School in Saskatchewan. Their loss is a stark reminder of the painful history we continue to confront.

As we mark the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we invite each of you to reflect on this day with intention. Reconciliation is not just about remembering the past—it’s about how we move forward together and the actions we take to make things right.

Our focus will be on increasing Indigenous representation in media and advertising and combining our strengths to deliver impactful results for clients!

Today, on Indigenous Veterans Day, we recognize and honour the sacrifices of the thousands of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis veterans. We want to pay special honour to English River First Nation’s veterans, including Robin Dawatsare, Frank Gunn, Simon Paul, the late Armand Misponas and Preston D’Jonaire, and Kurt Biller for his current service. As we honour International Inuit Day, our team is especially grateful for the opportunities we had this year to learn and experience the culture in Rankin Inlet and Baker Lake.

In May, we were warmly welcomed into the festivities for Baker Lake Hamlet Days. From bum races, to late night square dancing and team events out on the lake we saw firsthand how humour and connection contribute to the resiliency of the Inuit.
