In a shocking turn of events, I took a hard left turn into making miniature cake trinket boxes. I got really into sculpting this year. It started with carving teeth bowls and ended here. Turns out, as much as I hate things that aren’t supposed to be cake being cake, I love things that look like cake but aren’t. Listen, I’m complicated. And obviously, yes, they can hold teeth.

Miniature cloches filled with ladybugs I found in my windowsill. Deborah, Daphne, and Delilah. I like to think they lived their best lives, eating all the plants in my window, and passed in their sleep. JK they for sure just froze to death. Winter doth taketh away my serotonin, but she giveth me perfectly preserved lady bugs.

Where did I get the cat bones from? It was a gift. Someone who loves me found a cat skeleton in his barn and gifted it to me. There’s more to the story, but that’s for another day, the big takeaway is that the bones were ethically sourced.
