👶➡️🧑 Did you know tummy time isn't just for babies?

Spending a few minutes lying on your stomach can be a simple way to counter some of the postures many of us spend hours in each day.

Tummy time may help:
✔️ Improve posture and reduce shoulder rounding
✔️ Decrease neck and shoulder stiffness
✔️ Strengthen the muscles of the neck, shoulders, and upper back
✔️ Encourage gentle spinal extension

If it feels comfortable for your body, try spending a few minutes in this position each day and see how you feel over time. Small changes in movement habits can sometimes make a noticeable difference. 🌿

As always, if a position increases pain or discomfort, it's worth speaking with a healthcare professional for guidance.

Happy tummy time! 😊

Ever notice an area of muscle tension that seems to stick around no matter how much you stretch?

Sometimes that discomfort may be related to a trigger point — a sensitive area within a muscle that can contribute to local discomfort or symptoms felt elsewhere in the body.

Trigger points can develop for many reasons, including repetitive movements, prolonged postures, stress, or previous injuries. Over time, they may influence how a muscle moves, feels, and functions.

Because pain isn't always felt at its source, understanding the bigger picture can be an important part of addressing ongoing tension and discomfort.

At Vangool Wellness, assessment focuses on identifying contributing factors and developing an individualized plan that supports healthy movement and function.

🌿 When muscles aren't moving comfortably, it may be worth exploring what's contributing to the tension.

Stroke recovery is often made up of small moments that gradually build into meaningful change. 🤍

In the early stages, progress may look subtle — improved balance, increased awareness of movement, or small gains in coordination and strength. Over time, these changes can help support greater independence, mobility, and confidence in daily life.

Recovery is rarely linear, and each person’s experience is different. Rehabilitation focuses on supporting the brain and body as they relearn movement patterns and adapt over time.

At Vangool Wellness, care is guided by each individual’s goals, abilities, and stage of recovery — with a focus on steady, supportive progress. 🌿

W-sitting is common in young children — but staying in this position too often may place extra stress on the hips and knees, while also limiting trunk rotation and core engagement.

Instead of constantly saying “don’t sit like that,” try encouraging a variety of sitting positions during play and daily activities 👧🧒

Simple alternatives like:
✔️ Criss-cross sitting
✔️ Side sitting
✔️ Long sitting
…can help promote better posture, balance, coordination, and movement development over time.

Small changes in everyday habits can make a big difference. 💛
