Today, on National Indigenous Peoples Day, we celebrate the rich cultures, histories, languages and contributions of First Nations, Inuit and Métis Peoples.
It is a day to recognize the strength, resilience and leadership of Indigenous communities, and to reflect on our shared responsibility to advance understanding, respect and reconciliation.
We are grateful for the opportunity to live, work and gather on Treaty lands, and we honour the generations of Indigenous Peoples who have cared for these lands since time immemorial.
Happy National Indigenous Peoples Day.
