Nature Nerding

This coming Saturday, May 23 from 8 to 10 AM I'll be leading a birdwatching 101 activity for folks interested in learning more about our fine feathered friends.

The trail is located in Frelighsburg. I went birding there today and last Monday and we observed between 35 and 46 species! Including a variety of warblers, a couple sandpipers, Eastern Bluebirds and today we even saw an Indigo Bunting!!

This free, bilingual activity is offered by Fiducie foncière du mont Pinacle / Mount Pinnacle Land Trust and is a great way to kick off the weekend. Not to mention - learning the basics of birdwatching is sure to add a touch of magic to all your future walks!

Ce samedi 23 mai, de 8 h à 10 h, j'animerai une activité d'initiation à l'observation des oiseaux pour tous ceux qui souhaitent en savoir plus sur nos amis à plumes.

Le sentier se trouve à Frelighsburg. Je suis allée observer les oiseaux là-bas aujourd'hui et lundi dernier, et nous avons repéré entre 35 et 46 espèces ! Parmi elles, diverses parulines, un couple de chevaliers, des merles bleus de l'Est, et aujourd'hui, nous avons même aperçu un passerin indigo !!

Cette activité gratuite et bilingue, offerte par la FFMP, est une excellente façon de commencer la fin de semaine. Et apprendre les bases de l'observation des oiseaux ajoutera à coup sûr une touche de magie à toutes vos futures promenades!
