Have you started thinking about Plastic Free July? Here's the first 7 easy swaps you can make in order to remove a bit of plastic from your everyday life.

1. Learn about plastic! Every plastic product we purchase has a classification number on the bottom. These tell us what kind of plastic they are and how they can/can't be disposed. Check out .in to learn more!

2. Choose natural fabrics. Our clothing contains a TON of plastic but there are many natural fibres to choose from. Not only are many of them more breathable, they are better for our planet. One of our favs? linens made right here in Squamish!

3. Try a laundry stain stick! These last WAY longer than you'd imagine and work like a charm - without the harmful chemicals.

4. Buy your bread at a bakery and bring your own bag. A couple of great (and delicious) options: +

5. Try shampoo bars. Imagine how many shampoo bottles you go through in a lifetime?! Bars for the win.

6. Switch to an eco sponge. Made of wood pulp and loofah, these sponges don't get smelly and you can compost them when you're done!

7. Buy food in bulk! Not only does this save you money, it saves an awful lot of plastic. Packaging is one of the largest contributors to plastic waste so do a planet a favour and STOCK UP.
