🔥 Good news for campers and outdoor lovers.
The District of Squamish has temporarily lifted the campfire ban beginning Friday, May 15 at 12 PM. If you have a valid campfire permit, you can safely enjoy a campfire throughout the Victoria Day long weekend.
Always follow local fire regulations, keep water or a shovel nearby, and never leave your fire unattended. If conditions become too dry, restrictions may be reinstated with little notice.

Nothing beats Squamish in the warmer months 💦 From paddleboarding at Alice Lake to cold dips in the river after a hike, water days here just hit different.
But with more people heading outdoors, it’s important to keep our lakes, rivers, and beaches clean and safe for everyone. Pick up your garbage, avoid glass near the water, respect wildlife, and remember that those freezing rivers can be stronger than they look. 🌊

Squamish is one of those places that feels special the second you step outside. 🌲 Whether you’re hiking, biking, camping, swimming, or just stopping to enjoy the view, a little outdoor etiquette goes a long way in keeping it beautiful for everyone.
Pack out your garbage. Stay on marked trails. Keep dogs under control where needed. Give wildlife space. And maybe most importantly, remember that locals, visitors, kids, families, and adventurers are all sharing the same backyard. 💚
We’d love to hear from you 👇
