In a garden there's always good and bad bugs. I was thinking the other day that every plant I grow could be decimated by an insect. The worse bug is the cutworms! One year I lost almost all my pumpkin plants because of them.

Not too late to plant tomatoes!

I planted plugs so the tomato plants were on the smaller side. I will put in another 20 or so plants in on June 18. Whatever tomato plants don't sell on Sat or Wed I might throw them in.

I always plant my tomato plants lying down. They develop a better root system and hence are a stronger plant.

Trying something new this year: growing peppers in pots in my hoop house. I've read peppers do better in pots, I can control the "environment", and I want to save seeds.

I'm putting 50 peppers in the hoop house and planting 200 peppers in the garden.
