Today, we’re proud to celebrate Barb Mitchell, Integrated Support & Outreach Worker at Women’s Rural Resource Centre, as a 2025 ChangeMaker recognized by United Way Elgin Middlesex.

Barb has spent the past seven years supporting women, children, men, and families through advocacy, court and police processes, outreach, and moments when people need someone firmly in their corner.

When asked what motivates her to create change, Barb shared:

“We need more people to fight for those who can’t, and if I can help just one person and see how grateful they are, it is so rewarding to me.”
