Come experience his unique blend of traditional Cape Breton fiddling and Mi'kmaq songs.
This is a free event in Summerside you won't want to miss! Bring your loved ones!

This Friday, June 19, 2026, from 4 to 7 pm the lawn between the Wyatt Historic House Museum and the Lefurgey Cultural Centre (205 Prince Street, Summerside) will be transformed into the lively grounds of a true Olde Fashioned Carnival!
Enjoy five cent carnival games, a ten cent tea tent with tea leaf readings, miniature horse rides, street performers, clowns, live music, a reading tent, petting farm and more. Carnival food will be available for just $1 per item.
This is a family-friendly event with something for every age and interest. There is no admission cost, just remember to bring nickels for the games and dimes for tea. This event goes rain or shine.
A big thank you to Sobeys Summerside , as well as the Innovation PEI Community Celebration Fund for helping to deliver this much-loved event to the public.

Today, under the canopy of trees at Wyatt Heritage Properties, Culture Summerside staff gathered with other staff from The City of Summerside for their annual Staff Recognition BBQ.
During the event, Culture Summerside Director, Lori Ellis, was recognized for 20+ years of service with the municipality. Lori has been a leader in helping to shape, promote, grow, and celebrate culture in Summerside for over 2 decades. Congratulations Lori!

Live Mural Painting Experience with artist Kiele Poirier - Summerside Art Festival at Art Buds
Thursday, June 18 at 2 pm:

Sunday, June 21: National Indigenous Peoples Day Event at La Belle-Alliance Summerside
1 - 2 PM: Talk on the friendship between the Mi'kmaq and Acadians with Julie Pellissier-Lush and Julie Gagnon.
2 - 3 PM: Traditional songs with the Mi'kmaq Heritage Actors
Starting at 3 PM: Morgan Toney in Concert
Admission: Free
This is a fully bilingual event and all are welcomed!

Due to weather forecast, the Neighbourhood Block Party & Community Art Project - Leger Park that was to be held tomorrow, Sat, June 13th is postponed.
The new date is Saturday, June 27th at the same time (11 am - 2 pm). This is a free event.
We'll see you then for a celebration of creativity featuring a community art project, music and a BBQ!
