Happy National Indigenous History Month!
This month is a time to recognize and celebrate the history, heritage, brilliance, and resilience of First Nations, Inuit, and Mรฉtis Peoples that have called this land home since time immemorial.
This June, we encourage you to further your understanding and connection to the Indigenous communities around you. This can look like engaging with and supporting the many talented Indigenous artists, scholars, activists, organizers, entrepreneurs, and leaders who enrich every facet of our society. It is also an opportunity to learn from Indigenous Elders, Knowledge Keepers, and community leaders who carry our wisdom, teachings, and cultural practices.
What are you doing this month to celebrate? Do you have any particular learning goals? Weโd love to hear about it!

It has been a decade since the Calls for Justice and years since the Calls to Action. The frameworks exist. The evidence exists. The responsibilities are clear.
Decolonization means ending systems of control that normalize obedience, punishment, carceral responses, and decision-making about Indigenous peoples and children rather than ๐ฌ๐๐ฉ๐ ๐ฉ๐๐๐ข.
Answering the calls means a nationwide, collective effort at every level of government and across every institution schools, healthcare, child welfare, policing, justice, workplaces, and communities.
The gap is accountability and action.
