🚦 What drivers might not see at intersections 🚦
From the driver’s seat, intersections can feel routine and it’s easy to drive through them on autopilot. But from a bike lane or crosswalk, it can feel a lot more risky.
Without being fully aware, drivers may not see:
• A cyclist continuing straight through an intersection
• A pedestrian stepping off the curb
• Someone approaching from the side while turning
Most crashes involving pedestrians and cyclists happen at intersections. Slowing down, checking carefully and expecting people to be there can help keep everyone on our roads safe.
