Bom dia! 🫶♥️☀️ I would like to share with you all the emotions related to the atmosphere of the Working Equitation competition in Portugal, in the beautiful city of Santarém, during the Feira Nacional de Agricultura, an event dedicated to agriculture. 🐴🐑🐮🚜 The beautiful sports rivalry and fair play were on display. You could see riders and Lusitano horses at various skill levels. The level in Portugal is very high. ⬆️🤩 Every rider and every horse amazes me. Each pair gave their all. Traditional Portuguese attire and traditional equestrian tack delighted the spectators. Lusitano horses have an incredible movement and grace. It feels like a dance and art. Working Equitation is a working discipline originating from fieldwork on farms, but Portuguese riders turn it into an artistic spectacle, showcasing beautiful harmony with their horses. 🎠🇵🇹♥️ I could watch it all the time. I enjoy creating reels for you because I see every detail, marvel at the fluidity of movements, and observe the horses’ ears, which act like antennas, anticipating the rider’s next cue. Subtle signals, perfect horse handling through seat, calves, independent hands, and excellent balance. It’s mastery! Women, men, teenagers, and children have mastered equestrian skills, mostly on Lusitano stallions, which, like no other breed, can collaborate with humans in various tasks.
