Global Goodness entry from Flavour Design Studio: “I know it sounds ironic, but I'm a Canadian living in Canada making products - not in Canada or importing from China, but a Canadian making and employing people in the USA for US-made tableware. When I wanted to expand my business, I wanted to ensure that my products were sourced and made in the same country in which I sold them. My Canadian studio is for Canadian customers and a collaborative studio in the USA for American customers and larger orders. I started in 2004, sourcing and making ceramics in Southern California. While my profit margins of course are not what they would be if my wares were produced elsewhere, I know that I am supporting the local economy and local community. Now, more than ever, it is critical that we source and support locally made products. At Flavour, this is exactly what we do. Quality is assured, and my designs are purposed to make everyday items better, ergonomic, and enjoyable with as low of an environmental footprints as possible.”
