Why haven't you thought about moving to Canada?
Hi there,
Here's a story you may find interesting: Rachel, a graduate of University of Lagos started working with Guaranty Trust Bank in Lagos in 2013. She liked her job and it paid decent salary but she knew she wanted more. She thought about applying for a Masters program abroad and like most of her friends, she thought about going to the UK because thats where everyone she knows goes to for Masters. However, Rachel isn't just interested in studying abroad and returning to Nigeria to struggle with thousands of others still searching for jobs with their UK Masters degrees.
Luckily, she remembered her classmate James from University days had recently moved to Canada. Canada? Too far, too cold and most of all, she didn't even know how to get to Canada if she would go to Canada. She reached out to her friend James who gave her information on applying to study in Canada. Rachel wanted to know how to find a good program, good university and how to settle into life in Canada. Most of all, Rachel was concerned that she finished with a 2:2 in school and she didn't see any Masters program that accepted 2:2 grade. That's where we came in. We worked with Rachel and 12 months later, August 2014, she was already on her way to start her MBA at Vancouver Island University.
In case you are wondering why you should consider schooling in Canada, let's give you a few good reasons:
1. Canada's Multicultural Heritage: Approximately 20% of Canada’s 35 million people are foreign-born, which makes Canada one of the world’s most multicultural countries. In Toronto, Canada’s largest city, almost half of all residents are immigrants, plus there are significant immigrant communities in many other Canadian cities and towns.
2. Languages: Canada has two official languages: English, the mother tongue of about 59% of Canadians; and French, the first language of 23% of the population.
3. Safety and Security: Canada is known for being one of the safest countries on Earth, both in terms of its relatively low level of violent crime as well as its political stability and location in a peaceful part of the planet.
4. Jobs in Canada: There are great employment opportunities available to eligible skilled foreign workers who move to Canada. Thousands of foreign workers are needed by Canadian companies to fill jobs in Canada in a range of high-demand occupations, due in large part to an ongoing labor shortage.
5. Education: Canada has been delivering a high-quality education to people between the ages of 5 and 25 with comparatively modest spending. You can get quality education without burning a hole in your pocket.
If you think this is all, just wait, there’s more: Canada is one of the few developing countries in the world with a clear path to Permanent Residency. If you study in Canada for 1 year, are entitled to a 1-year post graduate study permit which makes it easier for you to search for and find employment. If you study for 2 years, you are entitled to 3 year post graduate study permit. More importantly you can apply for Permanent Residency within 1 to 3 years of graduation.
So you are thinking, how do I find the right schools, how do I apply and secure admission, how do I apply for visa, how do I move, where do I start? Let us worry about that.
We can help you with finding the cheapest graduate programs in the cheapest cities and guide you through the application process.
