The Person-Centered Planning and Community-Building Facilitator certificate is the first of its kind

To go a step further, when we support the idea of building social capital, we are helping people create meaning in their own lives! Our existence is relational. Having strong connections helps us to thrive.
The 4th course of the program, Social Capital and Macro Change just finished up for this academic year. Students learned what social capital is, why it’s important and how to incorporate the practice of developing and nurturing relationships into the work we do. If social capital, among many benefits, brings meaning to life, why wouldn’t we strive to work towards this for ourselves, our communities and alongside the people we support?

[image description: Over a background of a spider web glistening with dew, the heading reads, “Social capital is about relationships.” Subtext is a quote from Al Condeluci, “If we awaken to the potency of social capital and consider strategies to help build social capital, in a way, we help bring meaning to people’s lives.”]
