At , we’re fortunate to have an incredible team that pours passion, creativity, and dedication into everything we do. A special shoutout to Ritu, Rebeka, David, and Kayla — your hard work and commitment uplift all of us, and Deschool wouldn’t be the same without you!

Of course, there’s nothing quite like coming together, sharing laughs, and enjoying a delicious meal to strengthen the bonds we’ve built. This week, Sinia Kebab brought us together around the table. It was more than just a meal — it was a moment!

We’re also excited to soon share more about the new Deschool programs we’ve been running over the past few months. These programs bring real-world, expert-led and sustainability learning into classrooms and we can't wait to tell you more!

Still riding the wave of inspiration from the incredible 15th Canadian EdTech Summit! 🌟

Robert Martellacci said it best: “The smartest person in the room is the room.” This line captured the true spirit of the event—where collaboration and collective wisdom ruled. Being surrounded by visionaries and leaders from the Canadian and American education and EdTech space was nothing short of transformative.

Over three action-packed days, we engaged in meaningful discussions, shared ideas, and soaked up invaluable insights from school board and district leaders. And the highlight? Pitching alongside five other phenomenal EdTech startups from across Canada. The innovation, the drive, and the passion of everyone involved blew us away. Huge shoutout to Ariella Racco, Mallory Maynard, Liam Lytton, Dhiraj Hariramani, and Nancy Sun for being amazing!

We’re incredibly grateful to have shared our mission at Deschool—connecting students with real-world scientists to bridge the knowledge gap in emerging technologies. Feeling proud, inspired, and ready to keep pushing forward!

This is Phase 2 of our project at Runnymede PS! 🌟 After insightful workshops with our Indigenous educator Jennie Town, students eagerly joined Farmer Sean to bring their learning to life by planting a stunning rainbow garden in the Coelbeck yard. 🌈 We had seven planters, each representing a color of the rainbow, filled with a vibrant mix of flowers, herbs, and edibles—mostly native to Ontario. 🌼🌿🍅

Students even planted variations of the Three Sisters plants using different varieties of squash, beans, and corn. 🌽 It was absolutely inspiring to see the students dive in with such enthusiasm, becoming farmers for a day. Their excitement and dedication were palpable as they transformed the space into a vibrant, educational oasis. 🌱

We’re incredibly proud to witness such hands-on engagement and passion in this transformative project!
