Fora: Network for Change

Last Sunday, Fora’s Chief Executive Officer, Emma Asiedu-Akrofi, joined Gobal News BC’s Jennifer Palma to talk about an issue that deserves far more attention: youth underemployment. Our national research at Fora shows young women and gender-diverse leaders are showing up — credentialed, motivated, and often working multiple jobs to meet basic needs. Yet 84% say they see no clear path to promotion.

Over the past decade, Canada has lost an estimated $22.6 billion in GDP due to women’s involuntary part-time work alone. When talent is underutilized, the impact is felt across our economy and people’s lives. This is why these conversations matter.
