One of my favorite things in life is one-on-one time with each of my kids—especially when we get to share something I love in a place that feels special.

This week, I had the chance to spend time with Greta, and I did not expect her to love surfing as much as I do. Surfing is tough. It’s physically demanding, and the ocean is unforgiving. But she amazed me with her courage and resilience.

The best moment? Sitting in the lineup, turning around, and seeing her little smiling face as she paddled back out—on her own. If you surf, you know that getting past the break isn’t easy. Multiple turtle rolls, the push through the waves, the patience to wait for the right moment—it takes guts.

She had the courage to do it. And I couldn’t have been prouder.

Moments like these remind me: courage isn’t about never struggling. It’s about pushing through when the waves keep coming.

Taking Risks and Living Without Regrets

As a big reader, I recently picked up Here One Moment, a novel that left a lasting impression on me. Through its beautifully woven narrative about love, loss, and the fleeting nature of time, it reminded me of the importance of taking risks and living authentically.

In work and in life, this resonates deeply. How often do we hesitate to take a leap, held back by fear of the unknown? Whether it’s pursuing a bold strategy, advocating for an idea, or making a life change, Here One Moment is a powerful reminder that the greatest rewards often come when we embrace uncertainty with courage.

What books have inspired you to take risks or think differently?

October was such a break!

Spent the month hopping from Toronto to Utica, Boston, Montauk, New Jersey, and Manhattan, then back again—living out of a suitcase and making memories along the East Coast.

Took advantage of Thanksgiving and reading week for hockey and some well-earned adventure.

I'm ready to tackle what's next. Feeling so grateful.
