The DeLorean Time Machine featured in the hit classic film Back To The Future might be one of the most iconic movie cars in history.

The car was originally manufactured by the now defunct DeLorean Motor Company (DMC) in 1982 and three different versions were used for the films. One was a the most detailed car used for filming the exterior, another was used for stunts, and the last car was a chopped up version used to film the characters when inside the car because the vehicle was too small to fit both the camera and actors at the same time.

The Ford Motor Company also offered $75,000 for a Ford Mustang to be featured in the movie instead, however this was shut down by Bob Gale, one of the producers, stating that "Doc Brown doesn't drive a... Mustang".
