At Forest School we foster creativity and initiative every day. At morning circle we ask each student what their personal goals are for the day, this might be “build a survival shelter with no tools” or just “play in the mud”. We believe that young people should have autonomy over their learning and that they have the capacity to meet their own learning needs. Our job is to be their learning assistants and allow them to take the lead and imagine up the kind of experiences that will ignite their wonder and love of learning.
