When traveling to Thailand, it's important to do your research on ethical Elephant sanctuaries. Not all of them are honest and have lots of unethical issues behind the scenes (Video link below of what other organizations do). I visited the Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai, and it was the most memorable experience I will never forget. These creatures are so beautiful and intelligent and deserve the best care. Tourism in Bali is generated by its people. A friend of ours who we still remain in touch with is in need of help. Dessy and her family will lose their home and have not received any government support or assistance during COVID-19, as of March 2020.
