It was Heroes weekend in Jamaica However, it was a pleasure paying tribute to the only Heroine from Jamaica in the midst, Queen Nanny of the Maroons.

The 3 days event out of NannyTown aka Maroon Town is eye opener for us to connect to the rich culture and heritage that we have.

When I looked at what we in North America are missing came to mind that I should be there instead of sitting in front of a computer screen.

It is so important to connect our offspring to our culture in terms of identity.
