Happy Father's Day to the guys who fix the wifi, assemble the furniture, and grill the burgers, all without once asking for a parade.

You have spent years doing the unglamorous, unphotographed work of just showing up. The 6 AM drives, the "I'm not mad, just disappointed" speeches you didn't actually want to give, the dad jokes you knew weren't funny but told anyway because someone had to keep the bit alive. Nobody hands out trophies for "remembered to bring the good snacks" or "checking the tire pressure before a road trip nobody asked you to check," but you did it anyway, then went and mowed the lawn just because it needed doing. Here is to confidently saying "I got this", even when you are totally panicked and scared inside.

That's the quiet magic of it, you give without a tab running. No scoreboard, no thank-you-card quota, no annual performance review (though if there were, you'd crush it).

So today, even though you would probably deflect with a joke about needing new socks, thank you. For everything you did when no one was counting, except, evidently, all of us. HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!
