**New Permanent Residency Stream for Skilled Workers**
On the 3rd of August, IRCC issued invitations to apply to 1,500 candidates in the first ever targeted category based Express Entry draw for candidates in the trades. The minimum required Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score was 388.
The list of profession for skilled trades included-
1. Residential and commercial installers and services
2. Elevator constructors and mechanics
3. Machine fitters
4. Heating, refrigeration and air condition mechanics
5. Carpenters, Plumbers and Electricians
6. Welders and related machine operators
7. Contractors and supervisors, construction trades
