🚨 POWERFUL EARTHQUAKE ROCKS PHILIPPINES 😳 Tsunami Warnings Issued After Massive Quake Strikes Mindanao

A powerful earthquake struck off the coast of Mindanao, Philippines, on June 8, 2026, triggering tsunami warnings and sending residents across parts of the Philippines and neighboring countries scrambling for information.

According to international monitoring agencies, the earthquake measured approximately magnitude 7.8 and struck offshore west-southwest of Burias, Mindanao, at a depth of about 35 kilometres. Authorities immediately began assessing potential impacts and monitoring coastal areas.

The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center warned that tsunami waves of up to 3 metres could affect some Philippine coastlines, while smaller waves were possible in parts of Indonesia and Malaysia. Officials also monitored potential effects in Taiwan, Japan, Guam, Papua New Guinea, and other Pacific regions.

Residents in several areas reported feeling strong shaking, and emergency agencies moved quickly to evaluate possible damage and injuries. As of the latest reports, there were no immediate confirmed reports of major casualties or widespread destruction.

The Philippines is one of the world's most earthquake-prone countries due to its location along the Pacific Ring of Fire, a region known for frequent seismic and volcanic activity.
