Here’s a quick win you can implement today (and feel immediately):

1. Turn on missed call text back (send an instant SMS when a call is missed)
2. Include a booking link so the lead can self schedule in 30 seconds
3. Track calls so you know which channels actually create revenue, not just “activity”

Copy and paste this missed call text:
“Hey, this is [Business Name]. Sorry we missed you. What service do you need and what’s the job address? Reply here or book the next available time: [link]”

What actually matters is how many jobs you close each month.

Too many service businesses chase more leads without knowing their real number. And when you do not know that number, marketing turns into guessing.

Here is the math every local service business should know:

First, decide how many jobs you want to close per month.
That number drives everything else.

Next, you need to know your close rate.
If you close 40 percent of your leads, that tells you exactly how many leads you need.

Example:
20 jobs per month ÷ 40 percent close rate = 50 leads per month.
That is your real target.

If you are not building your marketing around this math, you are likely overspending, underperforming, or both.

Without this clarity, more leads usually means more noise, not more revenue.
