"Music erases the difference between me and you"
B2LU by Clara Lofaro

Clara Lofaro, Uri Kleinman and James Cudworth - Bloodline (Live) 12/19/2023

Bloodline. A song for my family and friends in Israel and here. A song for all victims of terrorism, dictatorship, war and racism around the world who don’t have a voice or a chance. A song AGAINST TERRORISM OF ANY KIND and for all those who haven’t had the courage or clarity to speak out against it yet.

May we use our voices for good. May we support each other through this darkness and may it leave as quickly as it came.

Please share with anyone who needs to hear this ❤️

BLOODLINE

Oh her blonde hair gets tangled up
She got it from her Abba’s side
Yeah, that’s the name we use for Father

Yeah and all of his has fallen out
And I think I get the trauma now
That’s has crept into the corners of our love

CHORUS
So you wanna kill a bloodline
You want my daughter and her father’s kind
It’s not my hair, And they’re not my eyes
But if you want theirs, you want mine

VERSE
Walked into a Pizza Nova
There’s a singing man behind the counter
He’s from Afghanistan, been gone for 40yrs

I asked him why it’d been so long
Said they crushed them between heavy stones
For listening to music,
Why go home?

CHORUS
So you wanna kill a bloodline
For those who’ve been gone or taken for a long time
It’s not my skin, and they’re not my eyes
But if you want theirs, you want mine

VERSE
All I have is my voice
And the privilege to speak my mind
Or hide in bed under the covers

I hear the voiceless crying out
And there’s no peace among the crowd
This kind of hatred isn’t safe.

CHORUS
So you wanna kill a bloodline
Might not be yours but it is mine
No, it’s not your hair, and they’re not your eyes
They want my daughter and her father’s kind
But they’d take anyone of a different mind

What can I say, mom life is grand and my momma is the grandest of them all!

Thanks for always making me feel so loved and special Mommabear and Lylachoo.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the momma’s out there. I hope you did exactly what you wanted to today and find more room for that in general. It’s a focus for me these days! More fun, I say! More space, more time to enjoy! Bring it!
